Port Augusta City Council is expected to adopt its draft budget in full at a special council meeting tonight.
Despite four separate submissions being made at a public meeting on Wednesday, city manager John Stephens said he did not expect any changes to be made to the final budget.
"As much as these people had every right to be there and raise these issues, I question whether they have digested the $22 million dollar budget," he said.
The State Government last year introduced legislation that required every local council to put its budget to public submissions before adopting it.
Submissions made included a request from Aaron Morgan for remedial work to be undertaken at the west side foreshore, and representatives from the Friends of the Arid Lands Botanic Gardens requested funding for an additional paid worker for the gardens.
Insurance coverage for the council's trial of security canine patrols was also raised, as well as the increased waste levy.
With the meeting held only a week before the formal adoption meeting was scheduled, Mr Stephens said that any proposed alterations to the budget would have to be significant for it to be changed.
"Really it (the meeting) is a death knock," he said.
"Nothing's come up that's changed our minds."
He said the council took submissions throughout the year regarding priorities for the next year's budget, which were all taken into consideration when constructing the draft.
