On Saturday, April 12 and Sunday April 13, 10 members from the Port Augusta and Districts Little Athletics Club took part in the State Individual Championships held at SANTOS Stadium in Adelaide, bringing home a total of eight medals.
To enable them to take part they needed to reach State Qualification standards so this was a huge achievement in itself.
This was an excellent opportunity for our athletes to gain some experience at competing at this high level, particularly those in the younger age groups, where the competition is quite fierce due to the high number of competitors.
