This year the Shamrocks Netball Club decided to teach netball skills to children aged between five and seven years of age, who are not yet eligible to participate in Saturday morning netball.
The trainings were held after school on Monday nights and were run by both Jenny Martin and Jackie Anderson with the assistance of Elly Anderson, Billy Venning and Angela Rabig.
The children were put through various running, dodging and catching drills and played many games of netball, which were the highlight of the sessions.
The trainings were well attended even as the weather turned very cold.
The Development Squad held a small sausage sizzle and presentation on August 3.
The children received a certificate, shamrocks pen and a trophy, but the highlight of the presentation was the t-shirts they received with their names embroidered on them.
Quorn Wolves Football Club sponsored the cost of the t-shirts.
Matt Leonard and Russell Keneally were on hand on the day to present the children with their t-shirts.
