Take your safety into your own hands

Take your safety into your own hands

People can only take responsibility for their own actions when it comes to driving on our roads.

It’s great that police are making our roads safer with operations such as the one that was conducted this weekend.

It certainly puts some minds at ease.

But at the end of the day it is up to each individual driver to be aware and take all safety precautions when hitting the road.

There is no excuse for drink driving or speeding.

Nor is there an excuse for driving while under the influence of drugs.

So why do it?

One day when you have had a big night out and risk driving on the road despite being over the limit, you are not going to be so lucky.

If you don’t kill yourself, you will kill some innocent driver or their passenger.

How would you feel then, knowing you prematurely ended someone’s life due to pure stupidity?

Just think about it next time you consider driving home when flying high or speeding to get to your next destination.
