Area should not be interferred with
Regarding the proposed marina development on the west side.
We strongly object to this development.
Moorings for 224 boats, yard area for boat maintenance, floating fuel dock with pump out facilities, fuel tanks up land, plus a five to siz storey one to two bedroom apartment building, obviously not for families, it is mind boggling.
Carpenter’s Landing is a memorial to two local people, it should not be interfered with.
This small piece of land, on a small piece of water needs to stay as it is, a pleasant safe place for families to swim and play, and a pleasant open space for all to view.
One of Port Augusta's qualities is its open space, we don't want to be another Glenelg.
This plan will not benefit local ratepayers who have lived here all or much of their lives.
The area needs some maintenance, beautifying and a toilet, but that's all.
If anyone else opposes this plan contact your council now.
